A year later

Well I'm now officially 18. Wahoo for me.

My writing focus is for the most part on Promises You Can't Keep which is a Naruto fanfic that I started last year. I just yesterday finished Chapter 17 and sent it off to my Beta-chan. It's coming along really well and I think that my writing had matured quite a bit.

I am also on the side playing around with drabbles and themes. On fanfiction you can find a series of Naruto drabbles, and on fictionpress a couple of drabbles on life inspired by poetry and the themes borrowed from the 31 days LJ group.

I also got my first comission from one of the guys at work, 5$ for a HinaNaruSaku PWP. (If you don't know what THAT is, you probably don't want to know...) He's asked for a second one but longer and is once again willing to pay. But since I've been putting some writing off to the side it'll be a while before I get around to his comission.

On the other hand, I recently received my 101th review on PYCK (Promises You Can't Keep) and so I offered the chance for the 101th reviewer to ask for whatever one shot they wanted.
They asked for a NaruSasu Lemon, so in the meantime I've been researching. (*Laugh* that makes me feel like Jiraiya or something)

Well as for now my current project is still Seasons. However on the side I'm working on a fanfic for Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce. It doesn't have any specific pairings. It's not even typed it's just doodles on a scrap of paper.

There is also my competition fanfic. It's a Twilight fanfic. It's about Emmett and Rosalie. I wanted to write on something that was... less written on. So that's also something I'm working on.

As for Seasons. Silana's part is giving me trouble but nowhere near as much as Miriel's did. I'm also tempted to go back and add more to Eolin's part because looking back at it, it feels much too short. So I've decided that it's time to put my idea into action. For now I will be working solely on Ayin's part up until they meet. Then I will work on Eolin's part while editing Ayin's. See? A pattern!

Well it's been a little bit hasn't it?

I've celebrated my 17th birthday fairly recently. One more year till I'm legal.

I haven't been writing as much this year, to my dismay but alas life and other things get in the way. (hee that rhymed) Well moving on. I did write an M rated story for Class of the Titans. It's ArchiexAtlanta. It was kinda hard to write considering the fact that I have absolutely no experience in that area whatsoever. The only information I have is from reading.

I also did re-edit the first bit of Seasons at the advice of my beta and dear friend. I have finished Miriel's part and I'm working on Silana's. Her part is giving me trouble too. The easiest people for me to write are Eolin and Ayin. Maybe because they're the two different aspects of me. Silana and Miriel are harder because they're the more distant parts of me.

One day I wonder if they'll have a section of fanfiction for me... that would be really cool.
I wonder if sometimes authors go on fanfiction and read the ingenius stories online. I wonder what they think? I especially wonder if they get upset at people for making weird couples. You know like Harry/Draco and stuff.

Well I should be going and this is really all that's new story wise. Adieu mes amies.

Map!!!!

Well I finally got my map of Erebu and Surrounding Lands back so that means I can finally keep progressing on Seasons. I've also thought up plenty of new and improved ideas and modified a bunch of characters, and the ending is better now too.

I have most of next week off though so I'll definetely do at least another chapter and fix the first one again. I also decided that maybe it would make sense to put all of Winter's story together before switching to Spring, Summer or Autumn's story. And once they all meet, well I'll write in third person sort of just following them. Cause I feel it's too hard a jump to go from Winter to Spring and all around again.

Yup so that's all for now, wish me luck on my exams!!!

Hello once again

Well Seasons is not as far along as I would like. I'm only to Miriel's part (Summer). I've rewritten Ayin's (Winter) and Eolin's (Spring) parts so far. They've changed a lot. I've learned some more about writing and now it's more incorporated. Ayin and Eolin's differences are more highlighted now. There's also been some character changes. Some characters no longer exist, others have smaller parts. Part of the reason I'm not very far, apart from homework and less time is the fact that Miriel's part keeps giving me difficulty and the fact that Chai, my map colorer has my map and I've lost my rough copy. So basically I have no clue where my lovely people are headed.

As for what I'm doodling on in class now, well that would be early stages of Two in One. I've also been doodling a bit of Of Earth and Sky and a possible sequel to that. Well by doodling I mean writing, I can't draw.

Also with Christmas coming up then exam break I'm hoping that I'll be able to write a bit more. And I'm modifying the plot line slightly for Two in One. It's different and I like it. And the little description before was just a little tiny beginning of it.

So that brings my time to an end. I'm going to start fiddling around with some stories. Oh and by the way I made a deviantart account. (as before mentioned I CAN'T draw) but there'll be some updates on there too. My username is Etariel7.

It's been a REALLY REALLY long time since I posted anything. Simply because for some strange reason blogspot wouldn't let me log on repeatedly.

So I better tell you guys all about recent events. I've put OoTM on hold. I put it on hold before the seventh book came out but with the new information I still have to go back over it and edit so much of it. (If anything really bugs me it's editing my own work).

I decided that Women of Myth was fine as a two-shot. I sort of like it that way and there weren't any other female heroes that jumped out at me.

As for the Laws of Motion er Attraction. They are still on going I'm still at work on the second one (it's being stubborn.)

Those of you who don't know that it's the story that writes the author not the other way around better learn it. I might try with all my heart to make a story go this way but once I'm writing it just won't fit in. So many good ideas have been shunned and so many attempts have failed. All because the story itself didn't agree with it.

Anyways... I've written another one-shot of Haru and Rin. Yup. I've rewritten it at least five times. Each attempt just sort of died, read above comment. It just didn't like what I was trying to do.

As for OUMND, well... it's been a long time and it's not cooperating with me. I still like the idea but I think I'm going to start over fresh on it. As much as I'd rather not do that (like editing my own stuff it bothers me too) I know that if I ever want that idea to be expressed I'm gonna have to do it.

I have also written a one-shot about Akito/Shigure. Even though Akito isn't even in it, it's sort of the couple it represents. It's about Shigure finally discovering what Hatori meant about the whole Winter-Spring thing. Believe it or not I got this idea while mowing lawns.

I also got a new computer which STILL doesn't have Word on it. Grr. So any work I do post up is written on Notepad. And all the stuff saved on my cd isn't accessiable so all my old writing projects are on hold.

My most current project and challenge of this year however is Seasons. I finally decided to pick it up again. It just kept popping up with ideas. I sort of restarted it. I've changed so much since when I wrote it. And that was only a few months. But in any case Seasons keeps haunting my dreams and giving me new complex things to incorperate. I know a lot of people are upset at the fact that I put OoTM on hold and picked up Seasons but I feel better this way. Seasons called to me and I'm answering. Hopefully I will finish it by the end of this year but as long as it tells me where to go I'll keep writing it.

Well ignoring that I shall tell you about what little writing I have done since last time.

~OoTM is still 82,000 words and 115 pages.
~OUMND is about 17,000 words and 23 pages.
~The Songfics are complete and fully posted.
~I wrote The Laws of Motion er Attraction's First Law and it is posted.
~I also wrote a One-Shot about Rin from Furuba (Fruits Basket) and it is also posted.
~I wrote a second sided One-Shot about Haru from Furuba it is not posted.

Sorry about not posting for so long, I've been SO busy. Exams and stuff ending and summer coming up. OUMND is coming along good and so is OoTM (I've written more I just need to type it up.) Songfic #14 is up and The Songfics are all done. I got a new and smart idea, using the Newton's Laws of Motion to get Archie and Atlanta together. I'm gonna work on that too along with OUMND and OoTM. There will be some new Women of Myth out this summer but as for now consider it on hold till summer. If all works out according to plan OoTM will be about 3/4 of the way done by the end of summer. Women of Myth will have about 4 new Women. And OUMND will be done. The Laws of Motion will be done too.

I've done all my goals for this week! I wrote Songfic #14, posted Songfic #11, posted the Greek Myths and wrote 1000 words of OoTM. And had fun! Sadly I wish I didn't have school tomorrow or better yet I was out for the summer but not yet. Can't wait till summer, pretty much all day writing!

Well that pretty much sums it up. I'm not working on OUMND because I have done a lot of work on it these past weeks almost 3000 words worth.

It's going pretty good. I did some work on OUMND. Working on trying to find my notes for OoTM. I seem to have lost my other notebook. I don't think I'll find it so work may be pretty slow on OoTM.

I finished Songfic #13 last night (Move Along) Songfic #14 will be completed soon. I haven't posted Songfic #10 yet as I need my betas (who seem to mysteriously disappear and/or their notes & comments at least.) I should be putting it up Saturday with or without their comments and improvements.

Next week I have a half day Wednesday and a full day off Thursday so I promise that I'll work a LOT on my stories. Hope everyone has a good Friday tomorrow and a good weekend. May your stories all weave a happy ending.

Sorry about not putting up Songfic #10 but my beta hasn't quite gotten back to me with her comments yet. I also feel like I could have done a better job on it but I'm not sure exactly how. If you're lucky however songfic #10 will be going up on Monday.

I'm up to 80,000 words of OoTM. I've also written about another POV of OUMND. I'm going to take a break this weekend from goals. I'm just going to write when I feel like it.

The Shang Unicorn- This is a story about Kylaia al Jmaa. From Tamora Pierce's world of Tortall. Liam makes a brief mention of her and I thought it would be really interesting to write about her life.

Quidditch Makes the Heart Grow Fonder- An Idea that came to me as I worked upon OoTM. Basically it's about George Weasley/Alicia Spinnet, Fred Weasley/Angelina Johnson and Katie Bell/Oliver Wood. It will be full of funny and random moments. It sounds promising to me.

Songfic #10

Well good news! I finally finished songfic #10, after a weekend of struggle. I'm so glad that inspiration finally struck, in the form of Nessy. (As always) All I ever need is a talk with her and usually some idea comes up and we wrought it out together.

This was probably the hardest songfic for me to write to date. Anyways I lived through it and finished it. And as they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

I also wrote another page of OoTM (not 1000 words but still a page.) I didn't do any work on OUMND or my Greek Myth cycles but I am working on ideas for them.

Well I'm taking a somewhat break from writing. Lately I've just been too overwhelmed to write anything really. So for this week I'm only giving myself one goal: Finish songfic #10. If I feel like writing more songfics or more of OoTM or OUMND or my Greek Myth Writing Project I will.

I'm really excited about almost being done my songfics. I've learned a lot actually from it and it was a fun experience. Maybe I'll write some more songfics. Who knows? I'm also going to be putting up songfic #7 tomorrow.

Well I've worked quite a bit on OUMND and I wrote another 1000 words of OoTM. I also have done 2 stories from my Greek Myth and I'm working on Songfic #9.

I posted songfic #6 today as I promised. I'd like to thank Nessy for helping inspire me for songfic #9 (I was having a bit of difficulty but thanks to Nessy I don't need to worry anymore)

I'd also like to thank Nessy for erm... editing my stuff. Apparently I like to switch tenses for a paragraph and then go back to normal tense like it never happened. (Hee hee) To Nessy my bestest friend I say: "A friend always edits your work, a true friend always edits it, laughs with you at your mistakes and then tells you how to make it better." I'd have to say you're a true friend.

Greek myth

Well I am pleased to announce that I have gotten divine inspiration: Greek Myth. I don't know what made me think of it but I've always been a lover of Greek Myth (probably why I like CotT). Well my idea was to write a One-Shot (stories with no purpose really but entertaining to read) about certain Greek Mythological Characters.

I started with Cassandra the doomed prophetess and just today wrote one for Helen of Troy. I'm not sure who I'll write about next. Probably as I flip through my lovely greek encyclopedia which ever Hero catches my eye first.

Now I have another project apart from OoTM, OUMND, and my songfics.

I had wanted to finish songfic #7 tonight but it's getting late and I have to turn off my music. I am however putting up songfic #4 tonight. It's kinda sad songfic #4, I feel insanely bad for Archie. And Atlanta might seem a bit heartless but there's a reason for that! (I love it when I get to drop hints and you guys don't understand why...)

Anyways expect another songfic up on Friday. and I will work on OoTM on Friday so there will be about another 2,000 words this week in total of OoTM.

I've accomplished 3/5.

I've rewritten songfic #2. I wrote another 1000 words of OoTM. I've also written another POV (finished Atlanta's and started Theresa's) for Once Upon a Midsummer Night's Dream. And I wrote songfic #5. I've also posted songfic #3 for all those of you who read them.

On Sunday I'll probably write songfic #6 and then relax and read fanfics, hang with nessy or write more of OoTM. I'll also have my dance competition on Sunday and who knows what ideas I'll get from there?

Today I put up my second songfic. I also typed up what I wrote for OoTM in science and french today (yes I am bad, and yes they were boring classes.) I'm working on the fourth songfic tonight and I'll be putting up the third one tomorrow I promises. I also tonight made cookies with Nessy (like always :))
And my Mom also bought me a blizzard today, how special am I? Very special indeed.

2nd and 3rd Songfics

2nd: I Feel So...

It turned out pretty good, I wrote it at lunch today. (Yes I'm that devoted, we got an extra long lunch so it wasn't a problem.) Basically Archie is thinking about how he doesn't deserve Atlanta. He's thinking what if she likes Jay, Herry, Odie or Neil? He thinks she deserves better than him and tries to convince himself to quit loving her. At the end he knows he never will be able to fully quit loving her. Yes, it is a bit sad.

3rd: What I Like About You...

I wrote this while waiting for dance class to begin (whoever told me to carry a notebook around is smart.) It came out better than I expected, halfway through I kinda wanted to switch songs... But I stuck with it and wrote it. Atlanta is doing something I call song comparision. You basically listen to a song and let your own memories fill the song. Purely by accident Atlanta turns on a CD Theresa forgot in her CD player. As she listens to it she starts thinking about things she likes about Archie and even goes as far to use the word "cute" Then she gets mad and says something about Theresa trying to brainwash her. It wasn't as sad but nor was it as happy as the first and second ones.

Yay! I'm done! And it's so... cute. Archie's just about to knock on her door and go in and tell her that he likes her when she comes and asks him what the heck he's doing. He tries to tell her but eventually just decides to settle for asking if she wants to go for a run. As soon as she's out of his sight he goes to the nearest wall and repeatedly bangs his head against it. Poor Archie.

Expect the next one done by... Wednesday Night.

"Um… totally," James said with his mouth almost hanging wide open.
"A drum roll please," I called out as I walked down the stairs, after checking to make sure my wand was in my purse. "What do you think?" I asked Sirius when I reached the bottom.
"Very pretty. Did Lily force you to wear a skirt?" he asked.
"Fine, tonight I’m ignoring you," I sniffed and headed over to stand beside Remus. "Well are we gonna go or not?" I asked James.
"Where are you off to?" Hesperia asked, coming to see what all the commotion is about.
"Oh just off for a walk," I answered a little evasively, "We’ll probably be back fairly late. So don’t wait up for us."
"As if I would," Hesperia snorted.
"Well see you later," I said charmingly, tossing my hair over my shoulder and dragging Remus outside with me.

Basically the Evil god Cronus (God of time and Zeus's father) escapes Tartarus (Hell) and is trying to defeat the gods. The gods hear a prophecy that says seven descendants of Ancient Greek Myth will defeat him. So they recruit Jay, Theresa, Atlanta, Archie, Herry, Odie and Neil.

These are the original character from CotT:
Atlanta- The Hunter. Descendant of Atalanta (though mistakenly quoted as Artemis), has super-speed and is from Canada (The Northwest Territories). Has bright red hair. Usually uses Bolas and in later episodes a lazer wrist-crossbow. She's the youngest of the group at age 15 and unarguably the toughest. She's a bit of a tom-boy and her best friend is Archie.

Archie- The Warrior. Descendant of Achilles, has a wonky heel, which he wears a golden brace for. He has a major crush on Atlanta, and STILL hasn't told her yet. He's got purple hair. Wields a Hephaetus Whip. Age 15.

Jay- The Leader. Descendant of Jason, Usually wields a xiophos (a sword from greece), has a little bit of a crush on Theresa. He's insanely responsible. (But very cute!) He has brown-blond hair. He likes boating. Age 16.

Theresa- The Fighter. Descendant of Theseus, is a karate expert (became a black belt at age 12) She comes from a rich family in England. She has waist length red hair. She also has the ability to use magic, and foresee things. She also has a bit of a crush on Jay. Age 16.

Herry- The Brawn. Descendant of Hercules. Comes from a farm and was raised by his grandmother. He's insanely strong but apart from that is extremely nice and has a good heart. He likes food, he's almost always eating. He usually drives his truck the officical vehicle of the Titans. He's 16 years old. Sometimes uses a lasso but tends to rely on his inhuman strength alot. He has brown hair.

Odie- The Brains. Descendant of Odysseus. He's insanely smart and usually makes the plans for the group. He's the smallest of the group. Uses a PMR and laptop and rarely gets into the fighting. Odie is the only black person in the group. Odie is 15 years old. He wears green tinted glasses. Has a black afro.

Neil- The Good Looking. Descendant of Narcissus. Insanely vain and constantly looking in his mirror. He has a girl like shriek and is frightened of alot of things. He also is extremely lucky which helps him with some things such as coin tosses or merely not getting his head bashed in by Cronus's monsters. He sometimes wields a tazer. He also snores very loudly. Age 16. Has blond hair which he is very vain about.

A pretty good weekend overall.

Wrote 2,000 words of OoTM. Thanks to Nessy for all the research or it would have taken me a billion years.
I also wrote about 600 words for Once Upon a Midsummer Night's Dream.

Also got a new idea, a songfic (a fanfic with well songs to help tell the story) It's about Archie and Atlanta from CotT.

I'll be doing a character list soon, so you aren't completely lost when I ramble on about someone :)

Stories (complete):
Aaralyn- being rewritten possibly in the far future, about a girl who discovers a hidden lineage that shakes who she is and how she affects the world.

Faerie- also possibly being rewritten, Gwenhyvair and Ceridwen two best friends have longed to find the other world. Now they have a mission to help Faerie along with a third whom no one seems to have any idea who he is. Ceridwen falls in love... with a fairy. How will this affect the mission?

Trapped- my one of two short stories to date, about a vampire of sorts.

Nike- the other short story, also my only story written in a guy's point of view, this is more of a prequel to Of Earth and Sky, About a young man named Nathan and his love for his wife that leads him back to his former love Nike/Nickel. Who confuses him even more. An act of Love done for love...

Stories (not complete but in work):
Seasons- Currently on hold. Long ago the Seasons sacrificed themselves to hold captive the evil god Sharaith. Now the Seasons Reborn are here. Will they accomplish what the prophecy says to kill Sharaith which even the Seasons couldn't do or will they fall into the darkness?

One of Them Marauders- Affectionately called OoTM. It's from the Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs era. Meet Dani, the fifth Marauder. I know plenty of ppl hate Other Character's but trust me, Dani is one of a kind.This is a fanfic (as in I don't own the characters except for a couple people here and there (such as Dani)) In case you couldn't guess it's about Harry Potter's Dad and Co.

Once upon a Midsummer Night's Dream- The title may change but so far it is also a fanfic though about Class of the Titans (the awesomest cartoon ever). Basically our heroes are doing the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Watch out as Cronus decides that while the heroes provide the characters he'll provide the magic.

Stories (Ideas not even written yet):
Er's- (a better name yet to come) This is about the Tree of Life, it supports two very different worlds and in each of those worlds are some people who don't quite belong. This is about these seven people as they travel through their life and find what they're missing all along.

Of Earth and Sky- sequel to Nike. This about two girls, Aurelia and Masiela who through a twist of fate meet, when they never should have met at all. One longs to fly, while the other longs to feel the ground beneath her feet.

Andrea the WarQueen- a young woman is chosen as the Queen of a Warrior nation. Follow her as she makes her first attempts at love and at war.

Lost City- Kelandra dreams of a city in the desert, a city that unknowingly haunts her past and her future. A city that no longer exists by day but by night comes to life. Kelandra will have to discover her destiny, the reason why she was spared, and even who she is.

Bronwen- the daughter of an elven king, who crosses over into the mortal realm. Join her as she is banished from her father's kingdom where even her twin turns against her, to stumble into life in the mortal realms. Will she ever find happiness?

Wolf-Speaker- Meet Kintieh, for as long as she can remember she has been different. Her family has always been feared by the village. Finally as her Bonding Day comes she will learn why, follow her on the adventure of a lifetime as she goes to help the Wolf she has bonded with.

Guardians of the Sword- Imagine finding out that you actually had a family, Imagine finding out that you're the Chosen One of a Goddess from your birthland which you've never been to, Imagine finally that you are destined to slay an evil goddess. This is what happens to Kellyn a girl raised in a distant land for all her life (that she can remember) until one of her brother's stumbles across her taking her from a normal life into one that's hardly ordinary.

Two in One- A normal girl named Saerdan meets a girl named Larenthia who she's never met before and yet seems so familiar. Larenthia is bound to a different world by things only she can see and Saerdan becomes caught up in that world as she grows closer to her new friend. Can Saerdan save both of them from a terrible fate or will they both fall into a land that's disguised as their dreams but truely their nightmares?

Change-Tune- Ayrridal, a normal girl from a normal family of farmers, or so she thinks. That is until one night the Duke recruits her to sing for the King, she does so and strangely enough a man of which she's never seen the like of accosets her telling her she needs training before it's too late. She doesn't believe him until she accidentally turns an innocent bystander into a toad. Once she arrives for training everyone is afraid of her, her magic doesn't seem to follow the normal limits and she can do things no one would ever dare to. What could this possibly mean? Will Ayrridal have to find out for herself even if it involves walking into certain danger? Or is it better to deny it as part of you and be safe?
